Year after year we have seen runners run by the Shoreline Inn as we cheer them on. This year we decided to gather a team of Shoreline Inn employees together with Lunada Garden Bistro staff and owners. Our team captain Monica gathered 11 members to be a part of Team Shark Attack and together raise money for SLO and Santa Barbara’s children in need. Our team didn’t win any medals for fastest or most money raised but we all completed with smiling faces and enjoyed the beautiful view.

We are thrilled to have two eateries in Cayucos that are located at these historical sites. The Grill at Cass house opened about a year ago by Christa and Traci Hozie who are also the owners of the Brown Butter Cookie Company. Just down the street at the Way Station building, Lunada Garden Bistro recently opened its doors. This had been a much needed and welcomed addition since the 2015 closure of the popular Hoppe’s Restaurant.

They are looking for sea glass! Sea glass is glass that at some point has been dumped in the ocean and tumbled for several years. It usually has a frosted appearance and if looked at closely through a microscope, you can see C-shaped indentations in the glass.
